Notice of Proposed Amendments to
Fairfax County Section 82-5-32. Removal, immobilization, and disposition of vehicles unlawfully parked on private or county property.
Proposed amendments to the trespass towing rates and charges and other provisions of Fairfax County Code Section 82-5-32. Removal, immobilization, and disposition of vehicles unlawfully parked on private, or county property is under consideration by the Fairfax County Trespass Towing Advisory Board.
The proposed amendments shall be considered by the Trespass Towing Advisory Board at a public hearing. The date, time and location of the public hearing is included below.
Any interested person may appear before the Advisory Board to be heard on this proposed change. Persons who wish to be placed on the speakers' list or who wish further information should call the Department of Cable and Consumer Services at 703-222-8435.

Five voting members plus a non-voting alternate member are appointed by the Board of Supervisors to three-year terms. Two citizen members (one voting member and an alternate non-voting member) represent the public and have no direct or indirect interest, other than as a consumer, in or relating to the towing and recovery industry. Two towing members prior to their appointment, and throughout the appointment term, shall be an operator of a towing business in Fairfax County. Two law-enforcement members are Fairfax County police officers and appointed by the Fairfax County Chief of Police.
